More shots today...not surprising. She did pretty well and only cried for a minute or so. She is 15 lbs 7 ozs. She gained 3 lbs since her 2 month visit. The doctor said she is in the 90th percentile for height and weight so that is good. Today we officially started on solid food. Today was Ava's 2 month check-up and all went well. She had 4 shots today (ugh) but she did really well. Cried for a second and then went to sleep. She is a whopping 12 lbs 2 ozs and 22 3/4 inches long. Dr says she looks great and to come back in 2 months.I love a non-eventful dr. visit.

Had a dr. appt today because I was having alot of contractions. Dr. says I'm still only 3 cm but will admit me to the hospital for "early labor" on Friday. Well, I knew this appt would be interesting. As of the last appt I was told I had gestational diabetes and needed to check my glucose 4X a day. I was also put on the most rigid diet ever. ***UPDATE***It's confirmed...I do have gestational diabetes. I meet with a dietician next week and get a glucometer to measure my blood sugar levels 2X a day. Once I log them I give her the numbers to find out what the culprits are (also have to log what I eat)...and then it's onto a specific diet for the rest of the pregnancy.It's pretty much complete...let me know what you think.

Yes, I failed the 1 hour glucose test...so now I go back on Friday for the 3 hour. I knew this would happen. I had gestational diabetes with the other two and I expected it to be positive.Now I start a real restricted diet of low sugar and carbs....it's back to eating cardboard. I had my 20 week U/S today and it was interesting. Little Ava Lynn (changed her middle name) is right on target and weighing a whopping 14 ozs. We had a cyst that they saw on the amnio but thankfully it is gone. Everything else looks great. We even caught her sucking her thumb and waving. Check out the pics.

In other news that I'm not very proud of....I had a little accident last night. While getting up to pee in the middle of the night, I stepped on Sonny, he yelped, I got startled and stubbed my pinky toe on the elliptical. Needless to say, I broke it. I know, nice. and it's a godsend. At first I didn't hear anything and I started to sweat. I went online and Googled the brand and some tips and when I tried again, within 3 seconds...I heard that glorious sound. Today I am 12 weeks and officially in the 2nd trimester. The rate of miscarriage goes down to 5% which is much better than 30 (with recurrent m/c).So nice to have piece of mind for a change.

I went in for another sonogram because it was 28 days and still no AF. Negative pg test confirmed what I already knew and now I just had to wait for the bitch to arrive. I got my blood test results for the ovarian reserve (FSH)...and I'm happy to report it was a 9. Anything over 10 is considered low so I'm good. WOOWOO!!Estradol levels are 4.8. Well, I'm 42 today. Shock I know. Dave and the kids had the day off so I took off and we spent the day together. I got a beautiful star necklace from the kids and a lovely purse from Dave. We had such a nice time...just taking it easy and doing whatever. We didn't go to New Orleans though. We had heard the weather was going to be nasty so we decided to stay in Galveston a few more days. Here you can see the new cabinet's painted on the top and what they looked like before. We added new knobs and pulls which I think make it look nice. It's like a matted nickel. I got the official word today. I was offered a Clinic Administrator job. It becomes effective tomorrow.What this means? I basically do the same thing as I have been...working full time, opening the store, administrative duties, etc. but with more pay...NICE. Update: October 9thTook another beta this morning. I had some brown spotting in the morning to I asked the doctor to check me out. He did an internal and said everything looked fine and that it was old blood. It has stopped, thankfully. David built this glider swing last weekend. I gotta say...he is so talented.He did this by looking at a picture of one already made. I wish I had a gift like that.P.S.
